Women had a multitude of different shoes at this time, and one was the high boot. Recently in most stores that you walk into will have a thigh high boot for women. They are very much in style right now and it is neat to know that they came back from the 60’s.

Men’s undergarments consisted of boxers, briefs, athletic shirts and t-shirts. Today men still wear all of those things, and they remain popular.

The Nehru Jackets were a popular item in the 60’s for men. They buttoned all the way to the neck and made the men look more clean but and ready for work. They are still available to buy today.

The hippies were most popular for their headbands and still are. You can see celebrities wear them as well as the average women and children. They came back as a hit not too long ago.

In the 60’s there were 3 popular lengths in skirts and dresses, mini, midi, and maxi. All 3 are still created today, but recently women have been hooked on the long maxi dresses. This specific photo resembles more of the 60’s color and pattern.

Many of the era’s in this time are recreated in modern runway collections to bring back fashions that people may have forgot of and to give something new. This also happened in the space age; a designer created a bubble like dress that was influenced by the space age era.

The hippie era came around in the begining of the 60’s. They introduced the beards, headbands, lon hair, and long skirts. There are still styles comin down the runway with a hippie inspired look. Our “bohemian” look derived from the Hippies fashion.
